Origin
Colombia Telecomunicaciones S. A. E.S.P. BIC, was incorporated in Colombia as a trade stock company by means of Public Instrument No. 1331 dated June 16, 2003, with duration until December 31, 2092, and with its main domicile in Bogotá D.C., located at Transversal 60 No.114 A – 55. It is subject to the legal regime defined in Law 1341 of 2009, and other applicable regulations.
The Company operates under the Movistar trade name. It is part of the Telefónica Group, one of the world’s leading telecommunications service providers, with operations in Europe and Latin America, providing telephony and mobile connectivity services, broadband services, home fiber optics, pay-per-view television, fixed telephony, and an entire range of digital solutions for small, medium and large companies and corporations.
Starting in the year 2021, the Company
included in its legal name “BIC”, after having
adopted the legal status of a Benefit and
Collective Interest Company (BIC).
Shareholder structure
The Company’s shareholder structure is as follows: Over the year 2022, no changes in the Company’s capital stock structure nor other capital creation, maintenance and capital changes were reported.

Value chain

The Company’s value chain is composed of four technology platforms: Network infrastructure and assets, infrastructure and Information System assets, products and Services, and Big Data.
The first platform of the Company’s value creation chain includes the fixed assets, which are mainly the fixed and mobile telecommunications networks that enable providing connectivity, communications and customer services, such as: fiber, civil works, telecommunications towers, ducts, facilities, the Experience Centers, physical elements associated with access, transportation and commuting (hardware), the information technology (IT) infrastructure (Datacenters, Hardware and Software) and the radio spectrum.
The information systems comprise the second platform, which include the operating and commercial support systems which, combined with the storage capacity and processing, enable us to generate high volumes of data and information.
With the first two platforms, the Company generates the capacity to offer mobile, fixed and digital products and services (third platform), such as mobile and land line telephone service, Internet, television, cybersecurity, cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), big data and advertising.
The fourth platform, Big Data, receives data inputs from the three previous platforms It enables creating knowledge about the customer in order to innovate.
In this manner, the four platforms enable the generation of products and services through the assets to assist customers:

Telefónica Movistar Colombia has an Integrated Management System, structured under the ISO standards, internationally recognized for defining the requirements to establish, implement and improve Management Systems.

Structured under the ISO 9001 standard and certified since 2007, which seeks to control, improve its performance, efficiency and excellence in the services provided.
The Environmental Management System (EMS)
Structured under the ISO 14001 standard and certified since 2007, which seeks to protect the environment and respond to changing environmental conditions, in balance with socioeconomic needs.
The Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS)
Structured under ISO 37001, certified since the year 2022, seeks to avoid or mitigate the costs, risks, and damages of engaging in bribery and acts of corruption.
AEO Program (Authorized Economic Operator)
For which in June 2022, the National Tax and Customs Office (DIAN) granted the authorization as AEO Operator in the import modality. This program seeks to prevent the occurrence of illicit activities in the international supply chain.
